Hi everyone, what a lovely summer we have had and the sun it still shining, how lucky are we!!
Following my recent visit to the annual show ‘ Decorex International’ held this year in the beautiful surrounds of’ Syon Park’ Isleworth, I have lots of fabulous inspirational ideas to share !!

The show started yesterday, Sunday 21st September and ends on Wednesday 24th (officially autumn!) …well worth a visit, but only open to trade until the last day when all are welcome!
A stand that was an inspiration and worth a visit was, Antiques by Design, making fantastic furniture and lighting out of reclaimed materials,

some of their items are very quirky and others just fabulous, they will also take on commissions and transform something that you may treasure and work with you to create something beautiful and personal…have a look on their website if you can’t get there www.antiquesbydesign.co.uk …….love these…..

Another stands that took my eye was ‘William Yeoward’, I just love his new fabrics distributed through Designers Guild and his furniture, is just lovely and grown up with contemporary lines and decorative touches…the price tag is not for the faint hearted but definitely worth the investment …an antique of the future …

He also does a more commercial line that is affordable to all whom have designer taste…

This is the ‘matrix desk’ shown in chestnut …so much style…

And below is the ‘Boyton Buffet’ that can be made in a variety of woods and again if you can’t get to the show his website is www.williamyeoward.com

Adjacent to the Decorex exhibition is the ‘Focus Design’ show now on and running alongside it at Chelsea Harbour with a courtesy bus from one to the other…We managed to do both on the one day, although advisable to do it over two days, however we did get to the first venue on the opening hour, so, although the day was long finishing at 6pm we saw most,

but unfortunately we didn’t make it down to the Kings road to see Designers Guild and Osborne and Little, so a little disappointing, however, I shall look forward to seeing the new collections via a sales manager soon…and will let you know my thoughts in the next blog..

Whilst at Chelsea we visited the Zoffany and Sanderson showroom and we were captive by the magician, whom was donning a handsome waistcoat made from the Sanderson’s new children’s collection, called ‘Abracazoo’ such lovely fabrics and wallpapers’ and ones that will grow with the little ones from babies to school …. The magician was fabulous too!!

This photo shows the Alphabet Zoo, wallpaper and fabric along with very pretty checks and ginghams to match….so lovely…and educational…
So just a very small look into the autumn collections and so much more to explore from all the designers new and established …so get decorating people …we are so lucky to have the choice…
Signing off for now…Sara x
